We are extremely proud of all our volunteers, and so grateful for all that they do for us, that is why we are showcasing our volunteers throughout Volunteers Week.
Let us introduce you to our fabulous volunteer Brenda Hall, we asked her the following questions:-
1) How long have you volunteered for Scannappeal?
Since January 2009 – 8 years
2) Why did you first get involved with Scannappeal?
We started supporting Scannappeal events in about 2000.
3) Tell us about your role?
I help out in the office half a day a week, doing anything from stuffing envelopes, photocopying making coffee to work on the database and researching information on the internet. I also help with some collections and one or two events each year.
4) What do you like most about the role you do?
The variety of jobs and keeping my brain active, if only once a week!
5) Can you tell us about the most memorable thing that’s happened to you whilst volunteering?

6) What contribution or achievement are you most proud of?

7) What is the best piece of advice you have ever received?
To always be friendly and polite to everyone however annoying the may be!
8) What might someone be surprised to know about you?
I’m an avid walker walker, I do a walk of 10-12 miles every week.
9) In one sentence why should people volunteer their time to support Scannappeal?
It’s a really worthwhile charity that is likely to have helped wither someone in your family or a friend.
10) Finally if you could go anywhere and do anything with no limit on time or money, where would you go, what would you do?
I would love to visit Costa Rica to see all the wonderful wildlife there.
