In less than a year we have raised close to £60,000 for our Cardiac Appeal, meaning we are nearly half way to reaching the appeal target of £125,000.
A recent donation to the appeal came from the Tring Lions who raised £200.00 from an online quiz. Karen Shardlow, Head of Fundraising said ‘Our sincere thanks to Tring Lions for supporting our latest appeal. We are proud to have a great relationship with many local clubs including Lions and Rotary who over many years have supported our work. We are always grateful for support of this kind and enjoy supporting their fundraising activities in any way we can”.
Many of the other donations in the last 12 months have been patients past and present who simply want to say thank you for the care received, recognising that the new equipment will make a huge difference to patients locally. Once funded the dedicated cardiac ultrasound system will allow clinicians to obtain real time moving images of the heart, improving the accuracy of diagnosis in even the most complex of cases.
