Admission: £12.50 in advance from Scannappeal to include a 2 course lunch and glass of wine.
Description: Come and enjoy a two course lunch (vegetarian option available) in this formal garden with open views to the Chiltern countryside and hills. The original garden covers ¾ of an acre around a former Grade II listed public house built in 1750. It was started in 1992 by the present owners and features a series of “outdoor rooms” enclosed by a variety of hedges. The rooms include a formal parterre to the front of the house, a long flower border to the North of the house, a formal fruit garden and a new vegetable garden in the former chicken run. A short woodland walk connects the front garden with the lawn to the east of the house which opens onto the adjacent field. Here a new orchard has just been planted with a wide variety of traditional local fruit trees. Entertainment during lunch will be provided by The Bottom Line.
Directions: Located 4m south of Aylesbury, the
entrance to the garden and car park is signed off B4009 Nash Lee Road 200 metres east of the Terrick roundabout. Access to garden is from the field car park.
Parking: Ample parking in field as directed.
