The 2.6 Challenge

Take On The 2.6 Challenge And Support Scannappeal

We need your support! Starting this Sunday (26th April) we need you, your family, friends and colleagues to join us and take part in the 2.6 challenge to help raise funds for Scannappeal. The challenge starts on what should have been the 40th anniversary of the London Marathon, the world’s most iconic one-day fundraising event.

The Coronavirus pandemic has meant we, like many other charities across the UK, have had to cancel planned fundraising events which will have a significant financial impact on the charity this year. The 2.6 challenge offers everyone the opportunity to help and however you choose to support will ensure that together we can continue to help our extended family within NHS hospitals across Bucks.

How Do I Get Involved?

1.   Dream up your challenge based around the numbers 2.6 or 26. If you need help there are lots of great ideas here.

2.   Set up your personalised fundraising page with Just Giving here.

3.   Remember to share your fundraising page link with your friends, family and everyone you know via email, social media, WhatsApp and ask them to sponsor you and maybe even challenge them to their own 2.6 Challenge.

4.   Complete your challenge.

5.   Share a video or photo of your challenge on social media by tagging @scannappeal and using #TwoPointSixChallenge.

Challenge Ideas

Taking part is simple – you choose an activity which could be running, walking, cycling, dancing or as simple as climbing the stairs at home and then decide what number to use which could be 2.6 miles, 2.6 minutes or 26 times. You can find great tips and ideas for your challenge here. Whatever activity you choose to do, all we ask is that you stay safe and follow Government guidelines on exercise, going outside and social distancing.
