Chartridge Lane 9th May – Open Garden

Loading Events

From a modest roadside frontage with a Champion Judas Tree (one of the finest specimens seen in this country and in flower in early May) the rear gardens are something else. Developed from virtually nothing over a 56-year period by one family, this expansive garden is full of surprises with colour and interest at all seasons.

This garden features sculpted hedges, topiary, and shrub and herbaceous borders. Containers burst with spring bulbs and hostas, while the vegetable garden and plant house add seasonal interest. Apple orchards, under-planted with wildflowers and spring bulbs, create a natural haven. A tranquil woodland garden, statuary, sculptures, and alpine troughs enhance the landscape.

Tickets: £10 in advance and includes tea, coffee and cake.
