Mobile Breast Screening Appeal

Fundraising £410,000

£ 61,372 raised so far

Working in partnership with Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust Charitable Funds we have launched a £410,000 appeal to provide a new, fully equipped, state-of-the-art mobile mammography screening unit.

As part of a major upgrade of mobile mammography across Bucks, and with a new unit due to start screening in November for the north of the county, this appeal aims to fully fund a much-needed new unit for South Bucks.

Breast screening is essential in detecting early signs of cancer, often identifying small changes in breast tissue before other symptoms appear. By improving accessibility to these vital cancer screening services, we aim to encourage more women to undergo screening, which can lead to earlier detection and ultimately save more lives.

Patients in South Buckinghamshire, including those in Princes Risborough, Stokenchurch, Prestwood, Chesham, Amersham, Chalfont St Peter, Marlow, Gerrards Cross, and Denham, will benefit from having screening appointments closer to home, without needing to travel to hospital.

Your support will help us make breast cancer screening more accessible, improving the chances of early detection and giving more women the best possible outcomes. Together, we can save lives.
