Supporter Visit to Amersham Hospital

Over £17,000 has been donated by 14 local organisations for our Speech and Language Therapy project to provide specialist equipment for patients with difficulty swallowing or impaired speech following a stroke or with Parkinson’s disease, cancer of the throat, muscular dystrophy or head injuries.

Representatives visited Amersham Hospital this week to see demonstrations of a laryngoscope, tablets with specialist speech and language therapy software for a Telehealth project, and digital voice recorders.
