Private Tour of Penn House

Countess Howe, Patron of Scannappeal, Earl Howe and William Baxter, Chairman (1)

Some of Scannappeal’s longstanding supporters were entertained at Penn House last week at a private event hosted by Earl and Countess Howe.  Guests were able to look around the private house which has been the seat of the Penn and Curzon families, having been passed down in a direct line for over 750 years, and heard Earl Howe give a brief talk about its history.  Countess Howe, who is a Patron of Scannappeal, explained the difference that regular givers had made to the charity’s work and clinicians from the cardiology department demonstrated some of the equipment that Scannappeal has funded in recent years.  Entertainment was provided by Flora Curzon and Francesca Ter-berg on violin and cello, Michael Moore Life and Pensions provided the refreshments  and the event raised nearly £2,000
