SUMMARY:Bucks Hospital Hike Golden Route
DESCRIPTION:Join our hospital hike team at the Golden Ball car park West Wycombe for the final 15.5 miles of the hospital hike route. From West Wycombe we will pass through Stokenchurch\, High Wycombe (hospital) and Penn before reaching the finishing line at Amersham hospital. \nOur Hospital Hike aims to bring patients\, family\, friends and neighbours from across our community together with the common goal of raising funds for Buckinghamshire NHS hospitals. You can walk as an individual or as part of a team\, which ever you choose rest assured you will be walking with the Scannappeal family. \nFAQ’s \nWhen does the hike take place? Walkers completing the 15.5 mile route will join the group on Sunday 11 September. The two day hike starts on Saturday 10 September. \nHow much does it cost to take part? A Registration fee of £25 per person is payable\, plus a sponsorship commitment of £350.00 or more. These costs cover all expenses including group guides\, food and insurance. \nHow far is the hike? The guided route will cover 15.5 miles. A full training plan will be shared\, plus you will receive lots of encouragement and top tips as we get closer to the event. \nWhere does the 15.5 mile route start and finish? The starting point is the Golden Ball car park in West Wycombe\, the finishing line is at Amersham hospital. \nWill there be transport back to the starting point? No\, you will be responsible for your own transport. \nCan I walk with friends? Yes\, we really encourage you to ask friends and family to join you and we can make sure groups of friends walk together. \nHow will my fundraising help Scannappeal? SUMMARY:Bucks Hospital Hike
DESCRIPTION:Bucks Hospital Hike is a brand new event for 2022. So why not step up for the challenge and join us for this two day hike across Buckinghamshire. Taking place on the 10-11 September and covering a total of 50 miles across two days\, the event will not only be challenge but a fantastic way to take in the beautiful Bucks countryside while fundraising to support your local NHS hospitals. \nDay 1 will see us following footpaths and bridleways from Amersham hospital to Great Missenden\, Wendover\, Stoke Mandeville hospital and finishing at Princes Risborough where overnight accommodation will be provided. \nDay 2 from Princes Risborough will pass Bledlow Ridge\, West Wycombe\, Stokenchurch\, High Wycombe hospital and Penn before reaching the finishing line at Amersham hospital. \nOur Hospital Hike aims to bring patients\, family\, friends and neighbours from across our community together with the common goal of raising funds for Buckinghamshire NHS hospitals. You can walk as an individual or as part of a team\, which ever you choose rest assured you will be walking with the Scannappeal family. \nFAQ’s \nWhen does the hike take place? Hospital Hike is a two day event starting at Amersham Hospital on the morning of Saturday 10 September. Registration includes an overnight stay in Princes Risborough. \nHow much does it cost to take part? A Registration fee of £75 per person is payable\, plus a sponsorship commitment of £1\,000 or more. These costs cover all the trip expenses including group guides\, accommodation\, food\, insurance and hike t-shirts. \nHow far is the hike? The guided hike will cover a total of 50 miles across two days\, approximately 25 miles a day. Whilst we recognise this is a significant challenge (and obviously very worthy of sponsorship!) please do not panic about needing to be ultra-fit. If you are in good health\, we can work together to make it happen. A full training plan will be shared\, plus you will receive lots of encouragement and top tips as we get closer to the event. \nCan I walk with friends? Yes\, we really encourage you to ask friends and family to join you and we can make sure groups of friends walk together. \nHow will my fundraising help Scannappeal? Our local NHS hospitals do so much for those living here in Bucks. By fundraising to support Scannappeal you are recognising their efforts and helping us to ensure we can continue to fund world class equipment. Photos\, books\, boxes of brushes\, shelves laden with pots of paint\, canvasses of past work representing her ever-evolving and eclectic style.  Jennie’s work spans BritArt inspired Queens Heads to more classical collections of chandeliers\, french chairs\, rambling stems and flowers. \nMusic will be performed by Mandy Watsham Dunstall a lively\, highly motivated soprano with a genuine love for communicating through the power of music and drawing the audience into the story through her singing and acting. At this time of year\, and weather dependant\, the peonies will be a sight not to miss. \nNew for 2022 – As part of the Queen’s Green Canopy project in celebration of Her Majesty’s Platinum Jubilee \, the garden has planted a a Turner’s Oak (Quercus Turneri “Pseudoturneri”). \nEntertainment will be provided  by St Marys Brass on the lawn.
