His brief was to turn the garden into a riot of pink\, mauves\, blue and white from spring to late summer. Firstly\, the raised beds and shed were put in place followed by the paths\, patio and small seating area which catches the last of the sun’s rays. Aynhoe garden represents how a suburban garden can deliver immense pleasure. \nSean has transformed the square\, boring garden into a haven for pollinators and people. \nGarden Two: Thornfields \nDesigned by the owner\, founder of Natural Art Gardens\, this family garden offers year-round interest. A sweeping lawn is framed by curved borders with vibrant seasonal planting\, from winter acers to summer lavenders and alliums. Hidden paths invite exploration\, while a screened play area and zoned decking provide spaces for dining\, relaxation\, and a hot tub. A striking Firehut\, crafted from reclaimed timbers\, offers shade and shelter for Scannappeal refreshments. \nGarden Three: Oakland \nA diverse garden featuring plants from around the world\, with a front garden centered around a carved Indian Basalt boulder and deep red Acers. Deer-resistant planting helps protectagainst Roe and Muntjac deer. \nThe rear garden has two distinct areas: a lawn with vibrant summer perennials and a shaded woodland space blending into the surrounding landscape. A productive greenhouse yields melons\, pineapples\, tomatoes\, and chillies. Highlights include a flowering davidii involucrata\, magnolias\, camellias\, rhododendrons\, bamboos\, tree ferns\, walnut trees\, and a young pecan tree\, yet to fruit. \nTickets: £14 in advance\, includes tea\, coffee and cake. \n
